The Dell PowerEdge 2950 server delivers enterprise-value at an affordable price point. Built on high-performance 15,000 RPM SAS disk drives and cost-effective SATA drives, the 2950 running SAN/iQ® is well suited for high I/O and transactional applications as well as high capacity file storage. The 2950 is available in 1.8 TB SAS and 6.0 TB or 9.0 TB SATA raw capacities.
The Dell PowerEdge 2950 is used as a building block used to create a single, virtual storage pool using LeftHand?s SAN/iQ software. Performance and capacity scale dynamically without system downtime. Total cluster capacity is virtually unlimited.
