High duty cycles ensure their suitability for continuous, long-term use with certified ratings in excess of 750,000 load/unload cycles (MSBF) and 100,000 hours of operation (MTBF).
The seek and read/write performance of UDO drives have been optimized for archive requirements. A 35 millisecond seek time delivers very fast random access to data. Maximum sustained read and write speeds are 8MB/sec and 4MB/sec (with full verification) respectively and with media load times of a few seconds, access to data stored in an automated UDO library can be achieved in a few seconds.
UDO drives support read and write operations on all 30GB Rewritable and Write Once UDO media, and use an industry standard half-height form factor, which offers simple integration into automated libraries, computer systems or as a stand-alone Desktop Drive. |
