Captiva’s InputAccel enables users to capture information from virtually any paper or electronic source and transform it into usable, business ready content and deliver it into a variety of back end systems.

At the core of InputAccel is the InputAccel server that governs all modules, client workloads and workflow processes. The InputAccel Server drives the highest levels of productivity by identifying and bypassing bottlenecks in the workflow process. InputAccel is also completely scalable at the server level and can be expanded to include multiple servers working in unison to scale to meet any volume requirement. This server configuration also ensures that if one server goes offline, others will continue to operate, eliminating down time.

InputAccel is comprised of a variety of modules that:

• Enable distributed capture of structured, unstructured and semi-structured documents from any scanner, fax machine, file system or multi-function scan device
• Clean scanned documents using tools that removing speckles, deskew images, adjust page orientation and more
• Automatically identify each document scanned based on user-defined business rules, regardless of the number of pages each document contains.
• Leverage OCR and ICR technologies to extract data
• Validate data based upon user-defined business rules
• Enable users to export validated data in a wide range of formats—including XML, PDF, JPG, TIFF, ASCII and more—into a variety of back-end systems including Documentum Content Server, Microsoft SharePoint, IBM Commonstore for SAP, eiStream, FileNET, IBM Content Manager, Hyland OnBase, Interwoven WorkSite and Open Text Livelink
